Easier and free, use a roll of background paper for this!

Les' roller is pretty much the same thing, just a hair less cumbersome ;-).

Ps. I buy BG paper in 9ft rolls.

Hi Dominique. As Bob said, our reverse roller is basically the inner cardboard core of 44" roll paper. A 2" or 3" section of PVC will work as well. It's just easier to maneuver if the sheet that envelopes the print is glued or otherwise affixed to the core. Just make sure there is nothing sticking out that will leave an impression on the print.

Just roll the print with a piece of brown thin wrapping paper and tape this. I have mailed thousands of 20x30 prints this way.

Hi Daniel. Thanks for the note. I agree that for mailing prints, wrapping as you described would be fine (we use tissue paper). However, the newsletter article actually addressed the reverse. What do you do with an end-of-roll print or one that has been rolled for storage or mailing and must be straightened? That is where an uncurl device is needed. There are times, if the curling isn't too bad, when I just use weights at the corner for a day and then put the print into our dry press for a couple minutes. Of course we need flattened prints in order to mount them properly for framing. Hope that clarifies the issue.
