Ouch! I had a similar moment years ago turning around to watch my tripod mounted wooden 4 x 5 Slowly topple off of a 15 foot cliff. It was not completely smashed and with glue and c clamps I resurrected it for the rest of the trip. But the winds in Patagonia are always fierce, Maybe now worse than usual with climate change.

The guides told us they had not seen such strong, sustained winds in 30 years!
