If you already started printing then you announced to the winners of their award and received a high res file to print. So what's the point of this prolonged release of the winners? As artists we are used to rejection but when this rejection is prolonged to serve some one's personal, alternative agenda I find it very disrespectful and frankly dishonest.
We are in the process of confirming all of the selected artists as well as receiving files and artist information, etc. As we finish a category (color top 3, b&w top 3, color honorable mentions, and b&w honorable mentions, we are releasing them. No intent on a delay but decided to release each category as we received files, info, and confirmation for that category. I'm literally in the middle of preparing the newsletter for the top 3 black&white as this came in. I wish we had a substantial staff but... wishful thinking.
We are happy that it looks like we're still ahead of our schedule by a few days. Sorry for the delay but we decided it was better to get things out sooner rather than later.
I guess everyone has preferred subjects. We tried our best to avoid bias based our own subject preferences and also take into account actual print quality which was a significant part. There are more coming, hopefully you'll find subject matter up your ally. Personally I LOVE portraits, 99% of every picture I've ever made but the actual prints above looked GREAT and all were very competently executed. Honestly, I really don't remember seeing anything that wasn't well executed in the countless prints we went through.
Excellent work! Well done!
Thanks for the comment, I am sure all of the artists appreciate the support.
Congratulations to all the B&W Honorable Mentions! What a fabulous group of images celebrating the rich tonal range of B&W photography.
Thank you for your comments and support. We started making the exhibition prints for these today and they look great. Nothing like a PRINT!!!

That is very exciting to hear!
These are all tremendous.
Congrats to the HM group. These are wonderful images. Love the stories.
Good prints, uninteresting subjects.

Surprisingly dull choices, but without seeing the losers' images I have no frame of reference.
