small 4x6 photographic prints for editing
The Canon Selphy strikes again. Making the editorial process fun again with oodles of small prints!!!

A few weeks ago I shared the genesis of a small project I’m working on with a working title of ”Water Colors”. I put two constraints on this project. The first was a general size, a target of 20 photographs. The second is to be completed by the fall of 2023. I think we photographers can all benefit from small, constrained projects as they tend to actually get completed.

Given my targeted timeframe, I’ve been busy working on Water Colors. I’ll admit I gravitate toward the super fun part of going out on wonderful summer mornings and evenings and making more photographs. Most of us all love hitting that shutter release more than we do some of the hard parts of projects like editorial decisions or thinking about final printing medium and presentation options.

I present to you a few of my initial thoughts and tips you may find informative, surprising, helpful, and hopefully fun to consider early in a project.
